Early Childhood Learning Approach

Every child is unique, and so are their learning styles. At our school, we are committed to embracing each child’s individuality through a curriculum that meets Georgia’s Quality Rated Standards. Our comprehensive program includes engaging activities and lessons in Science, Math, Literacy, STEM, Social/Emotional/Behavioral Development, and Dramatic Play/Creativity.

Our lessons are thoughtfully designed to enhance development in various areas, including:

· Motor Skills: Both large and small motor skill activities

· Personal and Social Skills: Building relationships and self-awareness

· Language and Literacy: Reading, writing, and language development

· Numeracy: Number concepts and mathematical thinking

· Art and Music: Creative expression and appreciation

· Sensory Exploration: Hands-on activities to explore indoor and outdoor environments

We provide a range of sensory activities that encourage exploration and curiosity, foster group play, and support individual free play. This approach helps children engage with their surroundings and develop both social and independent play skills.

Christ-Centered Development

As part of our Christ-centered approach to early childhood education, we integrate biblical teachings into our daily routines and curriculum. This includes:

· Playing Christian songs and music in every classroom each day

· Introducing basic concepts of God, Jesus, prayer, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit in the Twos/Toddlers room, with deeper exploration as children grow

· Teaching children how to pray actively as they mature

· Incorporating biblical principles into our character development curriculum

We use both individual and class assessment tools to evaluate students across various categories, including Math, Science, Social/Emotional/Behavioral Development, Literacy, Dramatic Play, and Sensory Exploration. These assessments align with the GELDS (Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards) and support our lesson planning.

As children transition into the classroom environment, they:

· Learn age-appropriate social skills

· Begin letter and number formation

· Explore phonics, letter sounds, and blending

· Start learning basic mathematics concepts such as numbers, patterns, addition, and subtraction

· Memorize Scripture

Our nurturing environment provides a pathway for children to experience and understand God’s love through Bible lessons, prayer, and learning God’s Word.
